How to Book & How We Pick You Up
Booking with us is simple via Email. Once your reservation is confirmed, send us your hotel or riad name and address via WhatsApp or email, and we handle everything from there. Our driver will come directly to the closest accessible point to your accommodation in Fes — no stressful logistics, no searching for a meeting point.
Important note: Our transfers from Fes are shared with other travelers to keep costs low and the experience affordable. However, your tent at the desert camp is entirely private — you will never share sleeping space with anyone outside your group. This is how we deliver a luxury desert experience at an honest price.
DAY 1 — Fes to the Sahara: A Journey Through Morocco's Soul
Departure: 7:30 AM from Fes
Your adventure begins before the city wakes up. Your driver picks you up at 7:30 AM and you head south, leaving the ancient medina of Fes behind as Morocco's landscapes begin to unfold before you.
First Stop — Ifrane (20–30 minutes) Known as the "Switzerland of Morocco," Ifrane is one of the most surprising towns in North Africa. Its clean alpine-style streets, red-roofed buildings, and crisp mountain air are unlike anything else in Morocco. Enjoy a coffee here, stretch your legs, and take in the beauty of this unexpected gem before continuing south.
Second Stop — Azrou Cedar Forest (15–20 minutes) Just a short drive from Ifrane, the ancient cedar forest of Azrou is home to Morocco's famous wild Barbary macaque monkeys — one of the only wild monkey species in Africa north of the Sahara. Watch them, photograph them, and if you wish, feed them by hand. It's a moment that surprises every traveler.
On the Road We believe a comfortable journey is part of the experience. We stop every two hours for a coffee break and restroom, so you always travel at ease. Lunch is served in Zaida or Midelt — a relaxed stop of around one hour and forty minutes at a quality local restaurant, where you can try authentic Moroccan cuisine.
Scenic Stop — Ziz Valley Before reaching the desert, we pause at the breathtaking Ziz Valley — a sweeping panorama of thousands of palm trees lining a dramatic river gorge. This is one of Morocco's most photographed landscapes, and it signals that the Sahara is near.
Arrival — Merzouga & the Erg Chebbi Dunes You arrive at the Shell station in Merzouga, where your dedicated desert driver — assigned exclusively to our clients — will be waiting to collect you. From this moment, the experience becomes truly personal.
You are taken directly to your private tent at the desert camp. Settle in, take a refreshing shower, and breathe in the silence of the Sahara. As the afternoon light turns golden, watch the sunset paint the dunes from the comfort of your camp — a view that no photograph can fully capture.
In the evening, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner served under an infinite sky of stars, followed by a live Berber music performance around the campfire. The drums, the fire, the stars — there is nothing quite like it.
Sleep under the stars in your private luxury tent.
DAY 2 — The Desert Comes Alive: The Best Day of the Tour
This is the day our guests talk about for years.
Begin with a leisurely breakfast at camp at 10:00 AM — there is no rush this morning. Let the desert silence wake you gently.
Then, Ibrahim — our most experienced and knowledgeable desert guide, who has spent his entire life in the Sahara — arrives at camp in his 4×4 Toyota Prado, ready to show you the Sahara that most tourists never see.
Morning — Full 4×4 Desert Excursion with Ibrahim Ibrahim takes you deep into the desert on a private adventure that covers the highlights of the entire Merzouga region:
Visit a nomadic Berber family still living in their traditional tent in the heart of the Sahara. Share a glass of desert mint tea with them and learn how they live, thrive, and find beauty in one of the world's most extreme environments.
Discover the Mifis fossil and mineral mines — this region of Morocco is world-famous for its ancient fossils and precious minerals hidden beneath the desert surface.
Explore the dramatic black rock desert, a landscape that feels like the surface of another planet.
Midday — Khamlia Village & Gnawa Music Your journey brings you to Khamlia, a remarkable village just 7 km south of Merzouga, home to the descendants of sub-Saharan African slaves who crossed the Sahara centuries ago. Here, the legendary Gnawa musicians — keeping alive one of UNESCO's recognized musical heritages — perform for you live with their hypnotic rhythms, handmade guembri lutes, and clashing krakebs metal castanets. This is not a tourist show. This is living culture, and it is profoundly moving.
Lunch — Included A traditional Moroccan lunch is included in the price of your tour, served in the village. Real food, real flavors.
Afternoon — Quad Biking on the Dunes After a short rest, the adrenaline begins. Climb aboard your quad bike for a one-hour adventure ride across the Erg Chebbi dunes — racing up and down the golden slopes of the Sahara's most spectacular sand sea. No experience necessary; this is pure, exhilarating fun.
Late Afternoon — Sunset Camel Ride Approximately 40 minutes before sunset, you mount your camel and begin a one-hour trek through the towering dunes of Erg Chebbi. Your guide leads you to the summit of a high dune perfectly positioned for the sunset — where you stop, breathe, and watch the Sahara sky transform from gold to orange to deep crimson as the sun disappears below the horizon. Take your time. Take your photographs. This moment is yours.
Return to camp as the stars begin to appear.
Evening — Dinner, Music & Stars Take a shower, relax, and gather around the campfire once more. Tonight's dinner is accompanied by another evening of live local music, drumming, and stargazing in one of the darkest, clearest skies on earth.
Sleep deeply. The desert has a way of doing that to you.
DAY 3 — Return to Fes: Carrying the Desert with You
The morning is yours to enjoy one last sunrise over the dunes before your departure. We begin the return journey to Fes along the same scenic route, with comfort stops every two hours for coffee and restroom breaks, so the long drive passes easily and pleasantly.
You arrive back in Fes in the late afternoon or early evening, dropped off at the closest point to your hotel or riad.
The tour ends — but the memories do not.
